Mustang

There is no full report for this trek simply because it was nicer to sit every evening with the funny group than writing something for the blog. But a small summary: Mustang is such a unique landscape and full with unique people. You definitely should see it with your own eyes, smell it with your nose and experience it with your own feet. It costs some money to get the permit, but it is worth it. I will not bore you with a description of that … just watch the pictures.

Most of the time we slept in tents, yet the cooking was done in lodges which offer their kitchen to our cook. I know Suman already from my earlier trek to Tibet and he is just an incredible chief. With most simple conditions he is able to do magics. On the menu is not just apple pie and pizza but also some marvelous cream cakes and of course local food. He does it just with simple gas cooker and his everlasting smile.

During the trek we cross some rivers. It is sometimes a bit scary, but also fun. I experience it as a nice cool down and refreshment for my feet. But some of the people are too scared to walk through the wild water which is knee deep. Purna, one of our guides who is about 1,6 m high and has maybe 50kg weight impresses our team by carrying some of us with a weight of 70 to 80kg across the wild river. but also his Nepali friends he carried just for fun! Amazing!

Some evenings we spend by playing music, singing and dancing. Our drummer is Balkrishna. ACDC or Metallica would be jealous about him. The voice of Nepal is Kedar.
